This area of Kenya is in the heart of Masailand where this colorful and unique people group called the Masai live and flourish. Known as God's shepherds, these traditional semi-nomadic herdsmen watch over their herds of sheep, goats, cattle and even camels taking them to water and lush areas of vegetation to eat. Their hut-style homes are very traditional, often made from mud, animal dung and wattle or woven sticks for structure. The current Masai life is very traditional and in many ways similar to that of their ancestors 100 years ago although advances in technology have made life a bit more convenient for the younger generations. Though traditionally animists, or those that believe spirits inhabit rocks, rivers, animals, or mountains, in recent years the gospel is being more accepted amongst this proud tribe and Jesus is being worshipped! Please join us to share the gifts and talents God has blessed you with to serve an under-reached people group that is asking the question, "Who is Jesus?"
