About The Location
Netanya lies on the Mediterranean coast, 19 miles north of Tel Aviv and was founded in 1928. Named after the American-Jewish merchant and philanthropist Nathan Straus, the site was originally established as a noncollective agricultural settlement (moshav) devoted to citrus cultivation. Jewish immigration from Nazi-held European countries began after 1933, and further immigration after World War II gave it an increasingly urban character. Netanya is now the focus of a large urban agglomeration.
About This Mission
Did you know that a quarter of Israel's population speaks Russian? These are Russian Jews, people who immigrated to Israel from the former USSR. Some of them are Holocaust survivors. Most of them are unreached with the Good News. Some of them are religious. Most of them are open to the gospel. Join us on this expedition to Israel to reach out to these dear people who need to hear about their Messiah and trust Him.
